About Allison


I have a masters of science (M.S.) in Applied Nutrition, as well as a masters of arts (M.A.) in Economics. After more than 15 years in the financial industry, I decided to pursue a graduate degree in nutrition. Through my coursework, I strengthened my critical thinking and analytical skills while building a strong foundation in my nutrition knowledge.

I am also currently a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition trainee. I am working towards completing the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner certification this year.

The nutrition field appealed to me as I noticed a lot of misinformation communicated to the broader public with the immediacy of information dissemination through social media channels. I wanted to become part of the solution and educate others on evidence-based nutrition concepts.

My objective was to create a comprehensive four-week nutrition course that functioned as a primer to provide a broad understanding of nutrition concepts. The goal of the course is to establish a basic foundation of nutrition to help you make more effective nutrition decisions supportive of your desired health outcomes. So this course was created for the overwhelmed, intentional and motivated person who has googled every diet fad and even tried a cleanse (or two).
